Following the success of Öhlins TT44 Indycar programme, the U.S. stock car market was targeted in 1996.
Based on the knowledge gained in open wheel racing, the WCJ stock car shock absorber was born—and became an overnight success!—resulting in the famed Winston Cup Championship in 2000.

Today, Öhlins subsidiary in Hendersonville, North Carolina, is responsible for the development and growth of the stock car range of shock absorbers. Designed in accordance with different racing regulations, the Öhlins WCJ, MCJ, LMJ, STJ, CCJ series shock absorbers are quickly becoming sought-after in the market.

The Öhlins stockcar series are built to perform and endure. They are easy to set up and to sort out. Thanks to the design of the main body they can easily be maintained and rebuilt.

The last couple of years the Dirt Late Model series have grown considerably and today Öhlins Racing has a strong presence in the higher divisions with technicians visiting the races and supporting the teams that use our shock absorbers.
